Colette grew up, was married and lived in Pretoria where she graduated from UP. In 2005 she moved with her family to the Lowveld to work in tourism and have been doing so ever since. She has travelled to quite a few countries in Europe but especially enjoyed traveling to Namibia and recently Swaziland. She would love to return to Namibia one day but also hope to visit counties such as the USA, Canada and Scandinavia, looking for the elusive bubble net fishing and the Aurora Borealis. Morocco and Nepal is also way up there on her bucket list. The earth and what we do to it as people is a subject that lies very close to her heart: "I hope that we can all at some point stand together to build a greener, cleaner future for our children." Johan, is what my parents called me, as did every second parent in the early 70’s in South Africa! But, I believe I am different than all the rest, I am myself. I know what I like, and what I don’t, and often catch myself being a bit over enthusiastic, in that department. The bar I set for myself is high, almost impossible for others to understand, when they meet me. There is a standard on how things should be done, and anything below that is unacceptable. Do it (CORRECT) or leave it. I am well-travelled in South Africa, the African continent and Europe. Where ever we visit, I am constantly checking for new and innovative ideas, to be more efficient, and love to discover new places and their way of living. I have a passion for people, and love spending time with people from all corners of the globe. It is very interesting to compare ideas with everyone, as it is shaped by their cultures and sometimes the weather. I started my working career in the South African Airforce, where I loved what I was doing for 18 years. These years shaped and molded me into the person I am today. My move into the travel arena materialized in 2005, where I learned to swim under the expert guidance of Hans Gerrizen, and learned to sail the boat around the tourism seas. Thula Seats means QUIET seats, in one of our local South African languages, but clients are often advised that they received the wrong transfer driver, I love to interact.
